HCM City holds activities to celebrate Vietnam Teachers’ Day
PANO - A series of meaningful activities were launched in Ho Chi Minh City to celebrate the Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20) on November 16.
The Southern Office of the Vietnam Publishers’ Association and the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street One Member Limited Company displayed 24 books winning the fourth National Book Awards 2021.

The showcased books hold prominent values on ideology, knowledge, and aesthetics. The display of these award-winning books aims to honor writers, translators, scientists and publishers as well.
Apart from the aforementioned book display, the Southern Office of the Vietnam Publishers’ Association in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh City Book Street One Member Limited Company exhibited a number of children books which won the National Book Awards over the past four years.
Another interesting book display in the framework of the activities to mark the Vietnam Teachers’ Day hosted by Ho Chi Minh City's book street is the showcase of more than 700 book titles for primary school teachers and students, selected from over 4,000 book titles released by nearly 30 publishers and book companies.

These books are suitable for teachers and students during their teaching and learning, and for students’ parents to orient their children’s reading habits to support their study.
During the book display activities, pavilions on the book street offer readers 15 to 70 percent discount for books and other attractive gifts.
At the book street, there will be many activities to introduce authors and works such as: Exchange program - introducing the music book "100 children's songs" and 20 years of composition by musician Nguyen Van Chung, Book Festival Japan - Ehon Day, seminar "Sow the seeds and nurture the science passion for children with Ehon."
