Hanoi International Film Festival to take place this November
PANO - The Cinema Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a press conference on October 20 to reveal information about the sixth Hanoi International Film Festival (HANIFF VI).
Themed “Cinema - Humanity, Adaptation and Development,” the festival aims to honor excellent international and Vietnamese cinematographic works with high artistic value, rich in humanity and creative in cinematic language and encourage new talents in international and Vietnamese cinema.
The event is also an occasion to introduce unique works of worldwide cinema industries to foreign and domestic viewers, offering opportunities for the country’s cinema sector to expand its international cooperation.
According to the organizing panel, the festival will take place on November 8-12 in Hanoi with the participation of 800 international and domestic delegates. More than 120 films from over 50 countries and territories around the world will be featured at the event. Notably, a Vietnamese film about Hanoi called “Jasmine” (Hoa nhai) produced by Khanh An Pictures & Media Company Limited in 2022 will be screened at the festival. The film was directed by People's Artist Dang Nhat Minh.
