An antique pottery exhibition entitled “From Go Sanh to Quang Duc pottery” is being held at the Go Sanh Vijiaya Champa Binh Dinh private museum in Quy Nhon.
More than 300 diverse exhibits on display are the museum’s Go Sanh pottery collection and collector Tran Thanh Hung’s Quang Duc pottery collection. They include lime-pots, basins, plates, statues, sacred objects.
Notably, on display are two lime-pots formerly in the collection of Ngo Dinh Can, the young brother of Ngo Dinh Diem.
The Go Sanh Vijiaya Champa Binh Dinh museum, the first private one licenced in Binh Dinh province, is preserving up to 3,000 pottery antiques. The museum’s owner, Nguyen Vinh Hao, is a famous Go Sanh pottery collector. The museum, located at the intersection of Tang Bat Ho and Le Phong Phong streets, has old-style architecture.
The exhibition, open until August 24, is one of the activities to celebrate the Tay Son-Binh Dinh 2008 Festival from August 1-3.
