PANO - The culture, sports and tourism festive day of the Cham ethnic minority group in 2016 will be opened on July 15th in An Giang province’s An Phu district, introduced by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and An Giang Provincial People’s Committee at a press conference on July 8th in Ho Chi Minh City.

Themed “Preserving and promoting culture of Cham ethnic minority group in the national sustainable development cause”, the three-day event will aim to honor and popularize the group’s cultural values among domestic and international visitors. It also demonstrates the Party and the State’s care for the group’s cultural value preservation and promotion in the international integration process.
During the event, visitors can explore the group’s culture, food, traditional trade, costumes and folk festivals. They can participate in seminars, photo exhibitions, sports activities or visit An Giang province’s cultural and historical relic sites and landscapes to understand more about the group as well.
