Famous flower villages on Tet holiday
PANO – As the Lunar New Year (Tet) holiday is just around the corner, flower villages across the country are attracting thousands of people with their various kinds of colorful fresh flowers.
Ahead of the Tet holiday, Nhat Tan village in Hanoi is smothered in the pink color of peach blossoms. Besides peach flowers, villagers here also plan kumquat trees to serve the high demand for flowers and ornamental plants during this most important holiday.
As one of the oldest flower village in Hanoi, Tay Tuu is famous for its huge variety of beautiful flowers with thousands of fields of lilies, mixed with daisies, roses and gerbera. The village also has large fields of violet, gladiolus and dahlia flowers for Lunar New Year.
Flower fields in Nghia Trai village (Van Lam district, Hung Yen province) these days are covered with yellow color of daisies “to kings”. This kind of flower is also used to make traditional medicine, and tea.
Along with Thai Phien, Van Thanh flower village is the largest and the oldest flower village in Da Lat. Coming to the 100 ha-village, you will be lost in a land of various types of gorgeous flowers blooming all year long.
Tan Quy Dong flower village (named Sa Dec flower village) in Dong Thap is a must-see destination in Mekong Delta region. This year, free tramcar tours around the flower planting area will enable tourists to enjoy the panorama of the beautiful flower village.
Cai Mon flower village located in Cho Lach district, Ben Tre province, surrounded by a section of the Tien, Ham Luong and Co Chien Rivers. The village is called the “kingdom of ornamental flowers” thanks to its favorable natural conditions for planting ornamental flowers and plants. Tourists to the village will be fascinated by excellent art works by the skilled hands of artisans.
