Exhibition on ancient Vietnamese education and examination underway in Hanoi
PANO - A one-month long exhibition introducing 50 documents on ancient Vietnamese education and examinations, including seven woodblocks of the Nguyen Dynasty, is underway at the Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam (Temple of Literature - Vietnam’s first university) in Hanoi.

The displayed photos and documents are selected from three world documentary heritages of Vietnam, namely the Woodblocks of the Nguyen Dynasty, the Imperial Archives of the Nguyen Dynasty and the stone stele records of imperial examinations at Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam.
Through the exhibition, visitors will learn more about the history of Vietnamese education and examinations via the past dynasties, Quoc Tu Giam - the country’s first high education center and the stone stele records.
Themed “Former Vietnamese Education and Examinations through Documentary Heritage Elements of the World”, the event was kicked off by the Center for Scientific and Cultural Activities of Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam and National Archives Centers I and III of the State Records Management and Archives Department of Vietnam of the Ministry of Home Affairs to help spectators learn more about ancient Vietnamese education and examinations as well as to popularize and honor Vietnam’s documentary heritage.
