Best writings on role models in following President Ho Chi Minh’s example awarded
PANO – The People’s Army Newspaper (PAN) held a ceremony on September 30 to hand over certificates of recognition to winners of the 12th “Simple but noble examples” writing contest in Hanoi.
Speaking at the ceremony, PAN’s Editor-in-Chief Major General Doan Xuan Bo held that this is the first time that the organizing board has honored both authors and characters of articles, contributing to encouraging reporters to work hard and outstanding examples to promote their good virtues and do more good deeds.

The 12th “Simple but noble examples” writing contest was co-held by the People’s Army Newspaper, the Department of Press and Publication under the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Information and Education, the People’s Army Publishing House, and the Petrovietnam Technical Services Corporation (PTSC).

According to the initial plan of the organizing board, the award ceremony was to be held on June 3, 2021 at the Hanoi Opera House and broadcast live on several television stations on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s appeal for patriotic emulation, the 110th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's departure to seek the path of national salvation and the 96th anniversary of the Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.
However, due to the complicated developments of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organizing panel had to changed the plan. The ceremony was recorded and broadcast on VTC1 and VTC8 channels of the Vietnam Digital Television (VTC) on September 26.
