During the five-day program, starting from April 29, visitors have the opportunity to experience the H’mong, Dao, Thai, Muong, Kho Mu, and Tay minority people’s markets where locals trade their products. The markets are also seen as venues where cultural features are clearly shown.

As reported, the program attracts the participation of 100 village patriarchs, heads of villages, artisans, and people from the Tay and Nung groups in Thai Nguyen province, Dao in Hanoi, H’mong in Ha Giang province, Muong in Hoa Binh province, Thai in Son La province, Kho Mu in Nghe An province, and Ta Oi and Co Tu groups in Thua Thien Hue province.

In addition, the organizing panel mobilizes additional 20 Thai ethnic people in Son La province and 40 others from the H’mong, Nung, and Tay groups in Lao Cai province to join the event.

On the opening day on April 29, the organizers held a program, themed “The festive day of the nation,” and relived a mountainous market, titled “Colors of Lao Cai.”
