Vietnamese localities assist Laos’ COVID-19 fight
PANO – The authorities of the two southern provinces of Dong Thap and Binh Duong donated 730 million VND on June 25 to assist the COVID-19 prevention and control effort of the Lao province of Champasak.

The handover ceremony took place at the Phukeua Border Gate in Attapeu province. On behalf of the two Vietnamese localities’ authorities, Lao Consul General Phimpha Keomixay handed over 680 million VND from Binh Duong province and 50 million VND from Dong Thap province to Director of the Champasak Provincial Department of Foreign Affairs Vannasak Xattakoun.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Xattakoun expressed his thanks for the support of the two Vietnamese provinces. He noted that the precious assistance will contribute to deepening the traditional friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two Parties, States and peoples.
