During the meeting, Mr. Anh expressed his delight at the strong and extensive development of the Vietnam - Singapore strategic partnership across various fields, particularly in economy, trade, and investment. He affirmed that Vietnam highly values Singapore's role as one of its foremost economic partners in the region.

According to him, the countries’ total bilateral trade turnover exceeded USD 9 billion last year, showing a rise of 10.1% compared to 2021. Singapore also holds the top position among ASEAN countries and ranks second among all nations and territories investing in Vietnam. Vietnam - Singapore Industrial Park (VSIP) has become a symbol of successful cooperation for the mutual benefit of the two countries.

The host also highly appreciated the results achieved by the two countries in cooperation in renewable energy, carbon credit cooperation, and innovation cooperation, among others.

Highlighting ample potential for the bilateral cooperation, Mr. Anh proposed that Singapore intensify the promotion of large investment projects in Vietnam, particularly in the fields of science and technology, innovation, green economic development, digital economy, digital transformation, and the building of eco-industrial parks associated with smart cities.

He suggested that Singapore share its experience in formulating investment policies to embrace the trends of production relocation and reshaping the global supply chain.

He hoped that the Singaporean official, in his working position, would continue to further strengthen cooperation between Vietnam and Singapore in more substantial and effective manner, contributing to lifting the strategic partnership to a higher level for peace and prosperity of the people of the two countries and development in the region and the world.

Mr. Tan See Leng highly appreciated Vietnam’s sound guidelines and its achievements in economic development. Emphasizing that there is ample room for bilateral cooperation, he wished to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam in many areas of mutual interest.
