Thai Nguyen has twinned with Luang Phrabang province of Laos for a long time. Since the 1960s, the province has received Laos students to study in local universities and high schools, many of whom are now holding important positions in the Laos’ Party and Government.

Currently, Thai Nguyen is hosting more than 1,600 Lao students who have received support from provincial departments and agencies.

On this occasion, the Lao delegation offered incense in tribute to President Ho Chi Minh at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial House and visited a number of education and training facilities which have been accommodating Lao students.
