PANO - The Central Party Committee's Information and Education Commission - in association with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Tay Ninh provincial Party Committee - held a meeting on May 11th to review past border demarcation and landmark planting between Vietnam and Cambodia. They also worked out plans for the two sides' functional forces in the future.

At the meeting

Attending the event were representatives from central and local agencies, plus  nearly 350 delegates from the 10 Vietnam provinces bordering Cambodia, and delegates from seven adjacent provinces and cities.

At the meeting, participants discussed issues relating to their countries’ relationship in recent years, the results of border demarcation and landmark planting along the two countries' shared borderline, two-way investment during the process of border demarcation and landmark planting, the cross-border trade turnover reached by the two countries since 2015, and other mutual concerns.

At the moment, the two sides have completed border demarcation along 184 km of the 240km shared borderline and finished construction of 100/109 main landmarks and 73 substituted ones.
