Outstanding youth union officials receive Ly Tu Trong Award
PANO - The Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union (HCMCYU) Central Committee held a press conference on March 16 to introduce their upcoming meeting on the occasion of its 86th anniversary and to announce 87 outstanding youths for the 2017 Ly Tu Trong Award.
The Ly Tu Trong Award is a noble prize of the Central Committee of HCMCYU for secretaries of Youth Union organizations at all levels and youths with outstanding achievements in learning, working, and youth movements. The award aims to encourage and honor the contributions of youth union officials and members, contributing to building and developing HCMCYU.
Based on the criteria of this year’s award, the organizing panel selected 87 out of 208 outstanding nominees from 67 provincial-level and under-HCMCYU Central Committee chapters to receive the award, including 63 male and 24 female delegates, Secretary of the HCMCYU Central Committee Bui Quang Huy said at the press conference.
In the framework of the award, numerous activities will be held on March 22 and 23 in Da Nang city; such as a seminar, entitled “Solutions to effectively implementing work’s theme in 2017 – the year to improve quality of youth organization”, and a visit to present gifts to children in the Da Nang Association for Victims of Agent Orange/Dioxin.
The ceremony to mark the 86th founding anniversary of the HCMCYU, honor outstanding youths and present the Ly Tu Trong Award will take place at 8pm on March 23 at the Trung Vuong Opera House in Da Nang, and will be broadcast live on Da Nang Radio and Television.
