More evidence on Hoang Sa Flotilla collected
PANO - Saturday, December 03, 2011, 20:58 (GMT+7)

A delegation of the National Border Commission, under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, went to An Nong Village in Loc Bon Commune, Phu Loc District, Thua Thien-Hue Province, to collect more evidence on Nguyen Huu Nien, Head of the Hoang Sa (Paracel) flotilla.

The delegation studied and took photos of items, including ancestral tablets, bronze bells, family annals and relevant documents as legal evidence to confirm the national sovereignty of Vietnam over the Hoang Sa Archipelago.

According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Hung, Head of Nguyen Huu’s family, two Chinese script documents among the precious items were issued in 1802. The first document is a royal decree to assign Nguyen Huu Nien as Head of the Hoang Sa Flotilla, and the second ordered Nguyen Huu Nien to fight the enemy.
