Vietnamese military delegation visits Laos and Cambodia
PANO – A high-ranking Vietnamese military delegation, led by Lieutenant General Phan Van Giang, Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People's Army, Deputy Defense Minister, is paying an official visit to Laos and Cambodia from March 15 to 20, at the invitation of Lieutenant General Suvon Luongbunmi, Chief of the General Staff, Deputy Defense Minister of Laos and General Pol Sa Roeun, Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.

These visits are to mark the bilateral defense cooperation results between Vietnam and Laos, and Vietnam and Cambodia over the past time. Accordingly, the Vietnamese delegation would also discuss efficient measures with the host countries to effectively implement cooperation plans this year.
The Lao visit is to help the two countries deepen their traditional friendship, special solidarity and cooperation, contributing to celebrating the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the diplomatic ties and 40 years since the signing of the Vietnam-Laos Treaty of Amity and Cooperation (TAC). The Cambodian visit will help enhance and foster the Vietnam-Cambodia solidarity and comprehensive cooperation on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam-Cambodia diplomatic relations (24/6/1967-24/6/2017).
