Over the past ten years, the heart operation program has benefited thousands of needy children suffering from heart diseases. Particularly, 4,500 needy children were provided with free surgeries and 100,000 others in 50 provinces across the country were screened for congenital heart diseases for free. It also provided equipment to help hospitals raise their operational capacity.

Since its launch, benefactors have donated VND 136.2 billion for activities of the program.

The “Hearts for Children” is a charity program launched by Viettel and the “Vietnamese Hearts” fund of the Vietnam Television to provide free surgeries for needy children with congenital heart diseases, organize congenital heart disease detection drives in different localities across the country and raise healthcare capacity of medical stations in Vietnam.

At the program, the delegates pressed the button to start the 11th edition of the program in order to help needy child-patients under 16 have opportunity for heart operations.
